Associate of Science Degree in Business Technology – Degree Program – Lilburn Campus

The Associate of Science Degree in Business Technology provides Gwinnett College students with the knowledge and practical skills to function as office assistants in the ever-changing business world. College students are introduced to courses in accounting, business administration, finance, the legal system, and management. Additionally, business technology program students will acquire the practical training and skills necessary to function in today’s business world.

Gwinnett College students graduating from the Associate of Science Degree in Business Technology can seek entry-level office assistant employment in many areas within a broad business field. Graduates can obtain employment in entry-level management, as computer operators, office and executive assistants, in accounting offices, and more. They have the opportunity to apply training and skills learned in Microsoft Office, accounting and finance, and other areas of business to add value in many types of offices.

Gwinnett College classes teach office assistants how to answer telephones, schedule appointments, prepare documents, and maintain databases. These classes prepare office assistants to support management and office staff with clerical and administrative duties. With this highly targeted set of skills, learned from Gwinnett College’s Associate of Science Degree in Business Technology, office assistants successfully support the office and top executives.

Students enrolled in the Associate of Science Degree in Business Technology program may have courses delivered through a remote form of instruction or through a hybrid format where class sessions are held on campus some days/evenings and remotely on other days/evenings. A laptop or desktop computer and headphones or another type of listening device are required for these courses as noted on each quarter’s schedule of classes.
