Spa Enhancements for Massage is a hands-on continuing education course designed to teach massage therapists how to safely and effectively incorporate spa-inspired treatments into their existing massage services. Students will explore the benefits, contraindications, product selection, sanitation, and practical application of enhancements including scalp treatments, foot treatments, exfoliation, and dry brushing. The course also covers practical pricing and marketing strategies to help therapists confidently add these enhancements to their service menus, increase the value of their sessions, and create a cohesive client experience.
Lauren Buruga is a Licensed Massage Therapist, massage therapy educator, and continuing education provider with more than a decade of experience in the profession. She graduated from Miller-Motte Technical College in 2013 and opened Wonderland Massage in 2017, where she has built a practice focused on therapeutic massage, advanced techniques, and spa-based services. In 2023, Lauren joined the massage therapy faculty at Gwinnett College, where she teaches both foundational and advanced massage therapy courses. Her experience as both a practicing massage therapist and educator has shaped a practical approach to continuing education that emphasizes hands-on learning, real-world application, and techniques therapists can confidently incorporate into their own practices.
