Lymphatic Balancing: Upper Quadrant (LBUQ)
The workshop includes lecture, demonstration, and practice for each technique presented. Students will gain a thorough understanding of Lymphatic Balancing Techniques used for the specific evaluation and treatment of excess body fluid or swelling in the cranium, face, cervical spine, thoracic spine, thorax, upper abdomen (viscera), and upper extremities (shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand). Lymphatic Balancing will help to reduce swelling, pain, increase joint mobility, and restore proper joint biomechanics postural alignment and function.
Learner Objectives
- Gain an understanding of the history, principles, and neuromuscular basis of Lymphatic BalancingLearn the significant anatomy of the lymphatic system and supporting structures
- Conduct a thorough specific orthopedic evaluation using ARTS of the cranium, cervical spine, thoracic spine, thorax, upper abdomen (viscera), and upper extremities (shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand).
- Ability to chart your results of the evaluation and formulate a treatment plan
- Determine the proper sequence of treating the Total Body Lesion
- Perform Lymphatic Balancing on the nodes, vessels, and tissues of the cranium, face, cervical spine, thoracic spine, thorax, upper abdomen (viscera), and upper extremities (shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand).
- Learn to use Kinesio Tape and active exercise to promote the local flow of lymph.
- Understand the clinical importance of Lymphatic Balancing for the treatment of excess fluid, swelling, or lymphatic stagnation in relation to muscular-skeletal dysfunctions.
- Integrate Lymphatic Balancing with other treatment modalities taught at the D’Ambrogio Institute.
