Myofascial Isolation Cervical is a comprehensive look at the cervical muscles. The study of their functions, origin, insertion and fiber runs. It is a unique blend of Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial Release and Isolation stretching. In the context of this course, Myofascial Isolation is performed with the intent of improving medical conditions or pathologies that have been prescribed by a physician. The modalities taught include Myofascial Cervical assessment, Postural Analysis, ROM, Compression and Cervical Disc testing, Myofascial Isolation Cervical techniques and Isolation Stretches.
Myofascial Isolation is a technique designed to relieve pain and restrictions in the body. By applying pressure on the origin, insertion and trigger points of the specific muscle then stretching the muscle in the direction of the fiber runs (usually toward origin and insertion). The dermatomes in the body are also taken into consideration. This allows the release of the muscle fibers that create tendon and ligament attachments.
