Cupping [myofascial decompression] and Gua Sha [instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization] are two integral parts of Chinese medicine that are easily accessible to anyone. Basic theory of injury and chronic pain will be covered as well as when it is appropriate and contraindicated to perform these therapies. Explanation of the basic tools and methods of each therapy will also be taught. This course will be an in depth hands on course allowing practitioners to walk away with the ability to integrate these therapies into their practice right away. Both techniques are vital for acupuncturists to fully treat the body and are wonderful ways for massage therapists to save their hands from excessive overuse. Both therapies increase circulation dramatically and are wonderful was of treating stagnation and chronic pain as well as muscle tightness and spasm, trigger points, and inflammation. These techniques are commonly practiced by lay people in China as they are handed down from parent to child as effective ways to treat oneself and ones family. This course is open to anyone but is geared towards acupuncturists and massage therapists.

Lotion/Cream of choice (whichever you prefer)

Enter the building through our Clinic Entrance facing Green Street. Class room number will be confirmed 3 weeks prior to class date via email or mobile contact.

PLEASE NOTE: ANY CLASSROOM CHANGES WILL BE POSTED OUTSIDE OF STATED ROOM FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE.

Refunds and Cancellations:

Notices of a cancelled classes due to inclement weather or sickness/emergency of the Provider instructing the class will be shared via phone and/or email confirmation.

Refunds are subject to a $10 processing fee upon request from the therapist after payment has been completed; No refunds within 2 weeks of class will be issued. If there is a documented emergency, you may transfer your tuition payment to a later class.

If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment you may transfer the tuition credit to another CE Class on our schedule; or request a full refund to be returned to the card used for purchase.
