Description

This 12 hours hands-on course is packed with information from the gestation period to the fundamentals of how a woman’s body changes during the development of life. It includes how to utilize soft tissue for a Prenatal massage to ease her discomfort during her pregnancy and also provides you with recommended/suggested stretches/exercises for your client. This course will help to identify these structural changes per trimester and how massage can assist in easing her musculoskeletal discomfort due to these structural changes. Upon completion of this course, students will know:

• The many different ways of performing a Prior to Birth Massage A.K.A. Prenatal Massage
• The many benefits both emotionally and physically as well as the contraindications
• Suggestions on Prior to Birth A.K.A. exercises

Supplies:

• Top and bottom twin or full size sheets to cover the massage tables (Massage tables will be provided)
• pillow case for face cradle each day
• A lubricant of choice (Cream or Lotion) PLEASE NO AROMATHERAPY OILS
• Two (2) standard size pillows
