Intro to Lomi Lomi Massage

Explore this profound modality of massage crafted through the Hawaiian tradition of kneading the muscles of the body through primary use of the forearms. This practice is designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of Massage Therapist that intend to provide enhanced treatments to their clients. Lomi Lomi is effective for releasing congestion of the body through a full body massage with intentional integration of the mind/body/soul. The ritual practice promotes transformation and inspiration. Through performance the therapist will be able to apply stretches for the upper and lower limbs that will support myofascial release and receive practical knowledge for application of 12 different strokes for a full body massage to address long, hardened, bulky muscles accompanied by breathing techniques that will conserve energy. Additionally, Therapist will gain an understanding of the power of the diaphragm, healing for the stomach and Hara, and exercises for self-care techniques and breathing practices.
