DESCRIPTION:Description\nIn this course we will learn how to access some of the trigger points in the lower abdomen\, hips\, quads\, lower leg\, lower back\, glutes\, hamstrings\, calves\, ankles and feet. We will learn how to treat some of the most common trigger points that contribute to Sciatic pain\, pain in the low back\, hips and groin\, knee pain\, ankle and foot pain as well as Plantar Fasciitis. In doing so we will help relieve tension and pain\, increase range of motion\, as well as increase your clients quality of life. Trigger point therapy is a great modality to add into your massage practice that will help bring in repeat clients who will refer their family\, friends and coworkers to provide you with steady work throughout the course of your career as a massage therapist and healer. \n Learning Objective  \n\n\n\n\n\nWhen a client complains or is having issues with low back pain you will be able to located and perform trigger point therapy (TPT) to the trigger points (TP’s) that refer to the point of pain on the client.\nYou will be able to demonstrate how the client can treat some of the TP’s for low back pain at home with self-help tools when the need arises.\nWhen a client is complaining or having issues in the glutes or with Sciatica\, you will be able to locate and perform TPT to the trigger points that refer to the point of pain on the client.\nYou will be able to demonstrate some stretches and show the client how to treat the problem areas at home with self-help tools when the need arises.\nWhen a client is complaining or having issues in the hamstrings or pain in the back of the knee\, you will be able to locate and perform TPT to the TP’s that refer to the point of pain on the client.\nYou will be able to demonstrate some stretches and show the client how to treat the problem areas at home with self-help tools when the need arises.\nWhen a client is complaining of calf\, ankle or foot pain\, or Plantar Facciitis\, you will be able to locate and perform TPT to the TP’s that refer to the point of pain on the client.\nYou will be able to demonstrate some stretches and show the client how to treat the problem areas at home with self-help tools when the need arises.\nWhen a client is complaining or having issue in the hips\, hip flexors or quads\, you will be able to locate and perform TPT to the TP’s that refer to the point of pain on the client.\nYou will be able to demonstrate some stretches and show the client how to treat the problem areas at home with self-help tools when needed.\nWhen a client is complaining of Shin splints or lower leg pain\, you will be able to locate and perform TPT to the TP’s that refer to the point of pain on the client.\nYou will be able to demonstrate some stretches and show the client how to use self-help tools to treat the TP’s at home when the need arises.\n\n\n\n\n\n Learning Outcomes \nUpon completion of this course you will be able to pin point the specific trigger points that may be contributing to your clients chronic body pain in the lower extremities. You will learn proper positioning\, draping\, where to apply pressure\, the amount of pressure\, how long to apply pressure\, and be able to give your client home care instructions on how to treat themselves when their unable to schedule a massage with you if and when the need arises. SUMMARY:Craig Knowles - KM Technique Cervical Torso
DESCRIPTION:Kinetic Musculorehab technique is a blend of sports massage and medical massage that uses range of motion to treat common everyday dysfunctions. The basis of KM Technique is to learn to treat muscles in their plane of action. This course teaches how to merge passive range of motion with other massage techniques to increase their function and to relieve pain. KM Technique is also used to increase range of motion\, break up adhesion and scar tissue that limit flexibility.
